About Thanjavur Murukku

Murukku is a traditional South Indian crunchy snack and a Tamil Nadu special, famous in Thanjavur and the delta region. It is a must-have Deepavali (Diwali) snack, and is also made for Pongal, weddings, festivals and family functions. It is just as popular as a tea-time or evening snack, a travel and lunchbox snack, and a homemade gift for relatives. Ours is homemade in small batches, with no preservatives added.
